“Even More describes the special bond between a mother and her
child. Both mother and child tell each other how much they love
one another through descriptive dialogue such as "I love you more
than all the times we've held hands." Beautiful sketches drawn by
Liz McGrath adorn every page. McGrath's book would make a
wonderful gift for any parent and child, as well as for any
accelerated reader.”
Jennifer LB Leese, AStoryWeaver's Book Reviews
“Our society needs more books of this type [Even More] which help
children experience the genuine love of parents for their children
and the love they give in return. The publisher, Raven Tree Press,
has many books which are refreshing examples of the goodness of
human nature.”
Betsy B. Lee, Ed.S. in School Psychology, Learning Abilities Books
“It’s beautiful and moving.”
Jean Peerenboom, Green Bay Press-Gazette
“With vibrant illustrations by Liz McGrath, Even More/Todavía más tells of the
ages of woman, from baby to daughter to mother. Rebeccasreads recommends,
Even More / Todavía más as a wonderful way for mothers to say, "I love you
every day of my life."

"Love that Travels to the Moon and Back. “The love between a mother and a
daughter is the theme of the bilingual picture book, Even More, written in English
by Barbara Quick, illustrated by Liz McGrath and translated into Spanish by Eida
de la Vega. The book’s tender text and rich illustrations aim straight at the heart.
Quick writes: “Once there was a mother who looked down at her baby and said,
‘I love you more than all my dreams of who you’d be.” The text goes back and
forth between mother and daughter as they share their continuing but always
changing love through the years. In the end, the aging Latina mother says, “I
love you more than all the times you still delight me.” Sentimental? You bet. But
in its sweet tones and nostalgic images, also irresistible.”
ForeWord Magazine
"Even More is a sweet heartwarming tale of love that spans generations. It
beautifully portrays the timelessness of the love of a mother for her daughter, of
a daughter's love for her mother and the loveliness of the great circle of life.
Barbara Quick and Liz McGrath have written a beautiful rendition of what every
mother feels in her heart when she looks at her baby and sees future
generations. It's filled with love, hope and joy. I highly recommend this book as a
gift for yourself, your mother or your children."

“This book offers an emotional glimpse at the lifelong bond between a mother and her
daughter. Following the pair from the daughter's birth through childhood, adolescence,
and finally to the daughter's own experience with motherhood, the bilingual text is a
dialogue between the two characters. Each takes her turn expressing the mother-child
love they feel for each other. During troubled times in the relationship, such as in
the child's teenage years, sometimes the mother is unable to hear the words of love,
yet as readers see, the daughter continues to express them. A creative illustration
pattern follows the text perfectly; when the mother speaks, readers see the child she
loves so much. When the child speaks, the illustrations depict age-appropriate artwork
that might have been created by the child herself. The age-progression of the child
ensures that this book is more than just a children's story; indeed an adult theme
dealing with life cycles and conflict runs through it as well. Nevertheless, this book
would make a wonderful bedtime reading choice for a child and her mother.”

“In my practice as a Drama Therapist, I work with foster children from high-
conflict families. Occasionally, an excellent book appears that is so richly written
and beautifully illustrated, that it naturally draws in the attention of these
troubled kids. "Even More / Todavía más" is one such book. Barbara Quick's lovely
story (and Liz McGrath's lush illustrations) explores child development and
unconditional love between mother and child, often allowing my clients to begin
to imagine something more for themselves in the future. In my office, "Even
More / Todavía más" has become a favorite book for the kids and an important
tool for me.”

“…Using this feel-good book [Even More / Todavía más] as a conversation starter
could help parents and children express their feelings for one another. Raven
Tree Press specializes in bilingual materials for early readers, and this story
is told in a lyrical, easy to read text. Liz McGrath has captured the feelings
perfectly in the marvelous illustrations. The back of the book contains a
glossary of vocabulary words in both English and Spanish. This would be a useful
addition to elementary school curriculum or home school as the easy, pleasant way
to learn a second language.”
Beverly J. Rowe, New York Times Book Review
“Even More” celebrates the special relationship between a mother and a daughter.
Author Liz McGrath takes a reader on a trip along the cycle of life from the
birth of a child to the birth of a grandchild. Along the way the mother finds
ways to express how much she loves her daughter and the daughter also expresses
her love for her mother. This is a wonderful book to show the young reader the
strong bonds of love that exist (or at least should exist) between a daughter
and a mother. This is a very well done bilingual book written in English and
Spanish for children about four to eight years old. Sure to help the young reader
understand how important they are to their parents. “Even More” is a highly
recommended children’s book."
Midwest Book Review
“I absolutely loved this book! Exceptional writing, sweet but sentimental. The
writer captures life in its many stages between two people that mean more to each
other than anybody would ever know. Beautiful artwork creates a beautiful book.
One for a mother to give to her daughter as she grows up into a woman. Even More
will indeed become a classic.”
Book Review Café
“I love the kid’s artwork interspersed with Liz’s! Liz [McGrath] really captures
the closeness, warmth, love, etc., in all [mother/child & mother/young adult] drawings.”
